Math Problem Statement
Noah wants to buy a new bicycle and a super cool new helmet. The bicycle he wants costs $349 and the helmet is $68.99. (Remember that he will have to pay tax on these items.) His parents have told him that they will pay half of the cost of JUST the bicycle and only if he can find a way to earn the rest of the money himself. He gets a job cutting his neighbours’ lawns and charges $18 per lawn. How many lawns will he have to cut before he has enough money to afford his new bike and helmet?
